From Sponsorship to Success: Niladri's Journey

A Determined Young Man with Big Dreams

Niladri is now 20 years old and is the younger of two siblings. He lives with his father, mother, and elder brother. His father owns a small tea stall and his mother is a housewife. Despite their modest circumstances, Niladri’s parents always wanted him to achieve his dreams. To support his education, they sought help from The HOPE Foundation. Niladri proved to be a sincere and deserving student who was committed to making the most of every opportunity.

Support through the sponsorship programme

Niladri joined the sponsorship programme in 2017 when he was in Class VI. From the beginning, he showed dedication to his studies and worked hard to achieve good results. His commitment paid off when he secured 80% marks in his secondary examination. Teachers and supporters recognised his determination and potential, and the support he received played an important role in helping him continue his education.

Pursuing technical education

After completing school, Niladri continued his academic journey by enrolling in a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, a three-year course at a Polytechnic institute. Throughout the course, he remained a hardworking and focused student. His dedication was reflected in his final results, where he achieved an overall score of 79.5%.

Beginning his professional career

Following the completion of his diploma, Niladri successfully secured employment with a large electronics company. He joined the organisation as a JET-1 (Junior Engineer Trainee). Today, both Niladri and his elder brother work at the same company and are able to contribute financially to their family, helping to bring stability and security to their household.

Niladri’s family is extremely grateful to The HOPE Foundation and SICW for supporting his education expenses for approximately seven years. They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to his kind sponsors who supported him at a time when it was most needed.
