Guddu lives with his mother, two brothers, and two sisters. His father left the family 15 years ago, abandoning his responsibilities and settling with another woman. Since then, Guddu’s mother singlehandedly bore the responsibility of raising her five children. With very limited resources and no steady support, she worked tirelessly as a rag picker to feed and educate her children. Despite her best efforts, the family lived in extreme poverty.

A Turning Point Through Sponsorship

Life began to change when Guddu was in Class X. It was during this time that he was enrolled in The Hope Foundation’s sponsorship program. The support he received became a turning point in his life, enabling him to focus on his studies and continue his education without the constant fear of financial instability. Through dedication, discipline, and hard work, Guddu completed his Bachelor’s degree and then enrolled in a Master’s program. Earlier this year, he proudly graduated with a Master’s degree—a milestone that filled his family with immense pride.

Stepping Into Financial Independence

Six months ago, Guddu secured a job at a private company as an accountant. His academic qualifications, combined with his commitment and confidence, helped him secure the position. Today, he draws a good salary and is financially stable. More importantly, Guddu is now the primary caretaker of his family. His income supports his mother and siblings, ensuring a better quality of life for all of them.
