Make a difference with Mala beads

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Yoga teacher and Venus Mala owner Virginia Lee is donating 5% to HOPE from the sale of Mala beads.

These beautiful, colourful beads, sometimes known as Buddhist prayer beads, are traditionally used for mantra practice and meditation. Mala in Sanskrit means garland, and interestingly bead has the origin bede which translates as prayer.

The Mala beads are available in a wide selection of colours and designs from the Venus Mala online shop.

Virginia said: “From the birth of Venus Mala, I was

dedicated to giving back to the culture that has enriched our lives with profound wisdom and spiritual depth. The Hope Foundation was first introduced to me by my yoga teacher Simon Low and its work deeply resonated with me due to its unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those in need in India, the birthplace of yoga and mala beads.

“The Hope Foundation works tirelessly to empower the most disadvantaged street-connected children and families though life-changing programmes. By supporting The Hope Foundation, I aim to contribute to its mission of lifting millions out of poverty, enabling them to build brighter futures for themselves and future generations. Venus Mala is proud to support this incredible cause, reflecting my dedication to the principles of compassion, service, and holistic wellbeing.”

Throughout June, online and in-person yoga classes will be running in aid of HOPE. Find out more and sign up to our Yoga for HOPE classes.
