We are proud to announce that HOPE founder Maureen Forrest has been shortlisted for the Women Entrepreneur category of the Bengal’s Pride Awards.

The nomination recognises Maureen’s 25 years of service and innovation in Kolkata, West Bengal, and her journey to establish the Hope Foundation and its life-changing development programmes for disadvantaged children and families in the region.

Founded in 1999 to offer a single child protection programme to 13 vulnerable young women, HOPE now implements 57 education, healthcare, vocational training, protection, and emergency response programmes in Kolkata. Since its inception, HOPE has positively impacted the lives of 3 million individuals in the city.

Now in its sixth year, the Bengal’s Pride Awards are dedicated to celebrating the achievements of the Bengali community. This year’s award ceremony will take place at the House of Commons on 17 July.

We wish Maureen and all the nominees the best of luck.
