Trainees from HOPE’s beauty training course enjoyed a hair masterclass by a salon owner in Kolkata.
The young women, who are undertaking vocational training at the HOPE Life Skills Training Institute, visited Gold Salon last week, where the owner shared his expertise in the science of hair, product knowledge and haircutting techniques.
He also spoke about his experience of working in the beauty industry and understanding client physiology.
Vocational training has a huge impact on young women from street-connected communities, helping them to gain confidence, knowledge and important life skills.
