Children from HOPE’s Residential Childcare Centres in Kolkata enjoyed Bengali New Year celebrations, earlier this week.
The festival is celebrated by Bengalis by buying new clothes and feasting on traditional food. People exchange greetings and attend processions. The traditional greeting for the day is “Shubho Noboborsho” which means “Happy New Year”.
