Our Blindness Eradication Programme, sponsored by Specsavers Ireland, held eye camps for the community in Damkhal, Raidighi in the Sunderbans region of West Bengal. Without the camps,these communities would otherwise be unable to access eye care services.
With Specsaver’s support, HOPE provides high quality, sustainable eye care within these camps through primary, secondary and tertiary treatment.
Such treatments reduce corneal scarring, visual loss from vitamin A deficiency and measles and other preventable causes.
